Learning Spanish

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

My answer: Speak any language. Every time.

When you speak someone’s native tongue, especailly when they are far from home, a bridge is built. A bridge is the only way to learn more about someone, which is the only way to build a relationship, which is the entire reason we are here.

Many people I now work with speak Spanish, but I do not. Relating to the people in my proximate is always heavy on my heart, and now that I’m partially immersed, learning Spanish is an opportunity I can’t turn down.
