Tradition as empathy

Intuition can be gained from the past through stories, myths, and history so far as they widen one’s perspective beyond what they can experience on their lifetime. Even still, information makes it easy for us to form opinions, but not convictions. The goal not an acquisition of knowledge, but empathy.

Our ancestors are people that inhabit a different time, but are no different than us who pursue the loves and longings and aches of our heart — the human condition.

Tradition is not doing things the same way they have always been done. It is a relationship, like that of a brother, that seeks to further the quest that has already begun.
