Is there a way to participate without selling out?
Not on your back foot, not without a brother or a sister.

I am no herald of one way, the right way, above all else;
but I am becoming more honest and more open.

It is my conviction that isolation is the end game.

Do not select [single player game] in pursuit of victory,
do not select [single player game] in the name of curiosity.

I do not know the intention of the designers, whether or not the expert engineers and psychologists are plotting against society.

I doubt it would be so direct, for most.

Nor do I know the complexity, perhaps the evils, that is hidden in bureaucracy,
the blessing of ignorance,
the dereliction of not-knowingness.

I do not know the spiritual underpinnings of technology.

But I do know what I do know, and that is worth something,
even if I don’t always know how to say it.

Isolation is the end game.

And so we must counter.
