Notes on Starting Over
November 5, 2024
Every project begins the same way: with a kind of necessary uncertainty. You don't know what it will be, only that you have to begin.
I've started over more times than I can count. Projects abandoned mid-way. Directions reversed. The temptation is to see this as failure. I'm trying to see it differently — as revision, as attention, as care.
Starting over isn't giving up on the thing. It's refusing to settle for the version that isn't true yet.
